Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website is run by Taos Food Co-op, 314 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM 87571. Questions about this policy can go to taosfoodcoop@gmail.com or 575-758-3840.

Information you give us

Volunteer application

The volunteer application asks for your name, address, phone number, email address, birth month and day, how you prefer to be contacted, your availability, experience and interests, and any travel plans. It is stored on this website and emailed to the co-op's volunteer coordinators, who use it to contact you and schedule shifts. We don't sell it or share it with anyone outside the co-op.

Online bulk ordering

The bulk order form is provided by Fillout. What you enter (such as your name, contact details and the items you order) goes to Fillout and to the co-op so we can place and fill your order. Fillout's handling of that data is described in the Fillout privacy policy.

Membership and gift card payments

Membership and gift card payments are made on PayPal's site. We never see or store your card or bank details. PayPal tells us your name, email address and what you paid for. See the PayPal privacy statement.

Mailing list

If you subscribe to our mailing list, your email address is kept by Constant Contact, which sends our newsletters. Every email has an unsubscribe link. The signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. See the Constant Contact privacy center.

Email and phone

If you email or call us, we use your message only to answer you.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. It does not tell us who you are. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser's cookie settings. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Embedded maps and video

The map in the footer comes from Google Maps, and the video on the About page comes from Vimeo. These services may set their own cookies and receive your IP address when they load. The Vimeo player is set to "do not track."

Website hosting

Like any website, our hosting provider and its security service keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

Your choices

• To see, correct or delete a volunteer application or other information you sent us, email taosfoodcoop@gmail.com.
• To leave the mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.
• To limit cookies, change your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site still works without them.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
